Here’s a simple recipe for a delicious and hearty pasta dish with ground beef, onions, bell pepper, and garlic:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 oz. pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add diced onions, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  5. Add diced tomatoes (including their juices) and water to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the pasta to absorb some of the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese if desired.

Enjoy your delicious and satisfying pasta with ground beef, onions, bell pepper, and garlic!
